With habitats and vegetation ranging from woodlands, swamps and lakes to coastal dune forest and coastline, Southern Mozambique is home to some 523 species of bird.
We have noticed, over the past few years, an ever increasing population of bird life and bird species and, according to the experts, the area immediately around Ponta MalonganeĀ generally is a haven for birdwatchers.
Among the noteworthy species are sand forest birds such as Rudd's apalis, Neergaard's sunbird, Woodward's batis, Pink throated twinspot and lemon-breasted canary.
We would greatly appreciate input from any visitors to the area.
